Early Life And Education
Wale Ojo began his acting career as a child, working with Akin Lewis at the age of 8 in the NTA Ibadan 1980s television series “Why Worry.” His family relocated to England when he was 12, where he continued his education and acting pursuits.
Career Influences
Ojo attributes his career to influences from his mother, an actress, and figures such as Chief Wale Ogunyemi, Tunji Oyelana, playwright Wole Soyinka, and Zulu Sofola.
New Nigeria Cinema
Wale Ojo is the founder of New Nigeria Cinema, an initiative aimed at enhancing the quality of Nigerian films. The organization hosted a film viewing and lectures at the British Film Institute in London in 2010.
