Renowned Nigerian human rights activist and former president of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olisa Agbakoba, has dropped a bombshell with his expert advice to Peter Obi, the Labour Party Candidate, on how to prevent the swearing-in of President-elect, Tinubu.
Agbakoba’s advice is seen as a potential game-changer in the ongoing petition filed by Obi against the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the 2023 general elections.
In an exclusive interview with Arise News, Agbakoba revealed that the best way for Obi to stop Tinubu’s swearing-in is to file an application for summary judgment immediately.
This move, according to Agbakoba, would put Tinubu’s political future in jeopardy, as he would not be sworn in and would not have to wait the required 180 days. Agbakoba emphasized that justice can prevail on the first day, even though there is a 180-day deadline.
