The Nigeria Police has recently confirmed that an individual by the name of Chude Franklin Nnamdi, who goes by the Twitter handle “@chude__,” was arrested on March 18th, 2023 in Onitsha, Anambra State. Nnamdi is currently being investigated by the Nigeria Police Force National Cyber Crime Centre (NPF-NCCC) in Abuja for cyberstalking.
The investigation comes as a result of a petition received by the police regarding Nnamdi’s activities on social media, which allegedly contravene the provisions of Section 24 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 and other criminal laws.
According to reports, a prima facie case has been established against Nnamdi, and the case file has been forwarded to the Force Legal Department for further action.
