The advice issued by the Federal Government to Nigerians living in Ukraine has stirred conversations online.
Earlier, the Nigerian government had directed Nigerians in Ukraine to remain calm but very vigilant and be responsible for their own security and safety as the country is being attacked by Russia.
In a statement released by Nigerian Embassy, in Kyiv, the Buhari government charged Nigerians who don’t feel safe in the country to temporarily relocate to anywhere considered safe by private arrangement.
The embassy advised Nigerians resident in Ukraine to ensure that they validate all their resident documents for ease of return to the country when desired.
It also asked students seeking temporary relocation to seek proper clearance and guarantee forms from their respective institutions during this period.
The embassy assured those who are still considering it appropriate to remain in the country that the embassy remains open for its consular duties and responsibilities at all times.
Nigerians have now taken to social media to express their view regarding the advisory issued to Nigerians in Ukraine amidst Russia’s attack on the country.

There are currently around 4000 Nigerian students in Ukraine who have tried to contact the embassy with respect to evacuation plans. They have kept hearing the same message to check their website.
