Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer Reveals Troubling Health Condition Of IPOB Leader In Detention

Sources close to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), have expressed concern over his deteriorating health while in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS). According to reports, Kanu is allegedly suffering from a profuse nosebleed, which he disclosed to a member of his legal team, Mandela, during a visit to the DSS facility in Abuja.

Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, shared details of the incident in a chat with DAILY POST. “Today, my associate, Barr Mandela met with Onyendu #MNK at the DSS. He reports that MNK directed me to make it public that he had an episode of profuse nosebleed yesterday and that the DSS has transferred a detainee diagnosed with tuberculosis to his cell block. This is ominous,” Ejimakor wrote.

Kanu has been in DSS custody since June 2021 when he was arrested and subjected to extraordinary rendition from Kenya. His health has been a matter of concern for many as he continues to be held without trial.
