Armed men suspected to be kidnappers opened fire on the vehicle of two wedding guests, Mallama Safiya Salihu and Amina Ibrahim, along Abaji Toto Road at Ukya-Tsoho village in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
A driver identified simply as Abdullahi who narrowly escape the attack told Daily Trust that the attack happened about 5:40pm on Friday, February 25.
He explained further that the gunmen came through the bush while they were a few metres to Ukya-Tsoho village and opened fire on them.
Both occupants of the vehicle died from the gun shot wound sustained during the attack.
He said that the guest had boarded the vehicle from Abaji on their way to Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State to attend a wedding ceremony.
According to him: “I was a few meters behind the car because we both loaded passengers from Abaji. When we were negotiating the sharp bend near Ukya-Tsoho the gunmen appeared and started shooting at the car.”This article was originally published on Nigeria News
