Again, DSS Stops Lawyers, Family From Meeting Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi Kanu Speaks On Denying Being An IPOB Member

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has been stopped from seeing his lawyers by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Naija News reports that this was made known Special Counsel to Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor.

In a post on his Twitter account, Ejimakor said he and other lawyers were denied access to Kanu on Thursday, adding that the latest blockade makes it the third time in a row.

The lawyer accused the Muhammadu Buhari-led Government of using the DSS to prevent them from seeing Kanu in detention.

He wrote: “UPDATE: Three times in a row, the Government of Nigeria (via DSS) blocks court-ordered access to Onyendu Nnamdi Kanu on the same excuses.

“We were here in strength – My humble self, Ozekhome, Ejiofor & Prince Emma. This crass tyranny will live in infamy and harden a lot of hearts.”

Recall that the DSS had also denied lawyers and family access to the IPOB leader on Monday and last Thursday.

Ejimakor wrote, “ALERT: Last Thursday, we were not allowed visitation with Onyendu because, according to DSS, the “special squad” incharge of visitations went on “outside assignment”. They asked us to come on Monday (today).

“Today, we‘re at DSS. They’re telling us the same thing. We DISAGREE.”This article was originally published on Nigeria News
