A demonstration against former vice president Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambitions erupted simultaneously on Monday in Lagos, Adamawa, Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, and Kaduna States, asking that the former vice president should abandon his presidential ambitions ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Former supporters of Atiku’s presidential quest in 2019 stated they were no longer supporting him and that he should abandon his dream for the South-East to become Nigeria’s president in 2023.
In a statement read at the protest in Kaduna, the national coordinator and national secretary of the North 4 North Support Group for Atiku, Mohammed Garba and Abubakar Sanni, respectively, stated that the former Vice President should reconsider his desire.
