In a significant political development, the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, is poised to make a return to the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to reliable sources. Adelabu, who contested as the gubernatorial candidate for the Accord party in the Oyo 2023 election, had left the APC after losing at the party’s primary to Senator Teslim Folarin.
In a letter obtained by The Nation, addressed to the state chairman and APC leaders in Oyo state, Adelabu revealed his intention to officially announce his return on December 15, 2023, at a ceremony to be held at the party office in Oke-Ado.
Expressing a commitment to a robust working relationship with the state executive, party leaders, and members, Adelabu underlined his alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He also emphasized his goal of establishing an APC-led Government at the state level in 2027.
