“Headless Mob”: Festus Keyamo Accuses Nigerian Youth Of Being Misled And Tribalistic

Festus Keyamo, Nigerian lawyer, human rights activist, and politician, who currently serves as the Minister of State, Labour & Employment, has once again ignited a heated debate on social media with his recent tweet about Nigeria’s youth.

In the tweet, Keyamo expressed his confusion over the justification for the abusive and disrespectful nature of some younger Nigerians towards the older generation. He went on to suggest that the anger of the younger generation towards the older generation is misplaced, as they continue to support and build a movement around a character who is part of the same generation they complain about.

Keyamo further stated that the latent reasons for the movement are deep-seated tribal and religious sentiments, carefully packaged as a movement by “angry youths.” He also accused many young people of being misled into this political guillotine, and referred to them as a “headless mob.”
