Just In: UberFacts Reveals Source After Accusation Of Being Paid Over The Tinubu’s Drug Crime

UberFacts, a well-known fact-promoting platform, has responded to accusations that it was paid to share information about Nigerian president-elect Bola Tinubu’s past legal troubles with narcotics trafficking.

The platform shared documents detailing Tinubu’s $460,000 forfeiture of illicit revenue from cocaine deals to the American government, which were public records available from United States Court documents.

The tweet was in response to attacks from Tinubu’s supporters, who accused UberFacts of being a propaganda account that panders to the highest bidder.

Tinubu’s supporters did not contest the content of the documents, but were incensed by their circulation. UberFacts has a global audience of 13.5 million followers.
