Labour Party chieftain, Comrade Delly Ajufo, has claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is focusing its attention on Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, more than Atiku Abubakar because there is something in Obi’s petition that has made the APC uncomfortable.
In an interview with NOL24 TV, Ajufo stated that the APC’s sole ambition is to malign Peter Obi, not the Labour Party. He added that the APC has conjectured all manner of things against Obi, but no amount of searchlight beamed on him found him wanting. “There is something in his petition that frightens them,” Ajufo said.
After the presidential election, Obi and Atiku filed petitions in court to challenge the victory of Bola Tinubu, the APC’s Presidential Candidate, who emerged as the winner. However, Ajufo claimed that the APC is busy fighting just Peter Obi, and not the Labour Party.
According to Ajufo, “there is something in his petition that frightens them,” and the APC’s focus on Obi suggests that they are uncomfortable with what he has presented to the court. Despite the APC’s conjectures, Ajufo maintained that no fault has been found in Obi’s petition.
