“The Game Is Not Over Yet”: Bode Reveals When He Will Leave Nigeria After Tinubu Emerges Victorious

Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has finally revealed when he will leave Nigeria as Tinubu was declared the winner of the presidential election.

Bode had earlier pledged to relocate to Togo if Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the presidential election.

However, following the declaration of Tinubu as the president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Bode has revealed that he will wait for the presidential election petition tribunal to make a judgment on the election outcome before he could decide to leave Nigeria.

Bode made the statement on Tuesday while fielding questions on Arise Television’s Morning Show program. He said that he was going to wait on the judiciary to make a decision on the outcome of the election before he decides on his next move.

Bode added that he could decide to live the rest of his life in peace since he is almost eighty years old and had been struggling, fighting, and trying to make Nigeria work for the past 25 years.

He said that all he needs for his children and grandchildren to be well is a place where water, electricity, security, and food would be available.

Bode also revealed that he has relations in Nigeria and that it doesn’t mean he will never come back to Nigeria. He concluded by saying, “The game is not yet over. We are going to wait on the outcome of the judiciary.”
